houndkit is built by people who work in veterinary medicine. It covers the parts of the day your practice software was never designed for: the handoffs, the whiteboards, the training, and the team.
why houndkit exists
Every clinic runs on two systems. One is the PIMS, where records, invoices and appointments live. The other is everything else: the whiteboard of pending labs, the sticky note on the monitor, the group text about who’s covering Saturday, the binder of SOPs nobody can find, the new hire shadowing whoever has a free minute.
That second system does most of the work of keeping a clinic running, and it’s held together by memory and good intentions. On a busy day, things slip. A callback doesn’t happen. A lab result sits in a tray. A new assistant learns a shortcut instead of the protocol.
houndkit is that second system, built properly. Each tool takes one of those jobs and gives it a home the whole team can see, from any device, without replacing the software you already use.
We build it alongside a working veterinary clinic, so every feature gets tested on a real, busy shift before it reaches yours.
