What the Drug Log is for

The Drug Log is your clinic's controlled substance ledger. Your team records every amount received, given, wasted or adjusted, and houndkit keeps a running balance for each drug.

Where to find it

Open Logs from the menu and choose the Drug Log tab. If your clinic has no other logs, Logs opens straight on the Drug Log. It's also under Hospital → Logs.

What you see

On the left is your clinic's list of controlled drugs. Each one shows its DEA class (such as C-II), its concentration or form, and the amount on hand. Tap a drug to see only its entries. Tap All drugs to see everything again.

On the right is the ledger, newest first. Each entry shows:

• When it was logged
• The Drug and the entry Type: Received, Administered, Waste or Adjustment
• Patient / notes
• The Amount, in green when stock came in
• The Balance after that entry
• By / witness: who logged it, and the witness if there was one

The ledger can't be edited

Entries can't be edited or deleted. If something was logged wrong, you void it with a reason and log it again. Voided entries stay on the record, hidden until you tick Show voided, and they no longer count toward the balance.

Who does what

• Anyone on the team can log entries and void mistakes.
• Clinic admins set up the drug list in Clinic Settings. They see a Manage drug list link on the Drug Log.
