Request an item
When something is running low, add it to Stock Requests so whoever orders knows. It takes a few seconds, from the board or from anywhere in houndkit.
From the Stock Requests board
- Open Stock Requests and tap + Request an item.
- Under What do you need?, type the item, such as "22g IV catheters".
- Add notes in the box below it if you like, such as brand, size or how many.
- If you're out or need it soon, tap Out / need it soon to mark it urgent.
- Tap Submit request.
Your request appears under Active with your name on it.
From anywhere
- Tap the Add to a board button (the plus) in the header.
- Choose Stock request.
- Fill in the item and any notes, then tap Submit request.
Check it isn't already on the list
As you type, houndkit looks for similar requests. If it finds any, you'll see Might already be on the list with each match, its status and how long ago it was asked for. On the board, this also includes requests archived in the last 30 days, so you can tell if it was ordered last week.
If it's still open, tap Me too on the match instead of asking twice. If it was archived recently, you probably don't need to add it again.
Tip
Be specific. "22g IV catheters, box of 50" gets ordered faster than "catheters".
What happens next
A clinic admin marks your request, for example as ordered or on backorder. The card then shows the new status, who marked it, when, and any note they added. You can check back on the Pending and Archived tabs.
