What Stock Requests is for

Stock Requests is a shared list of things running low. Anyone on the team can flag an item, and a clinic admin marks it as ordered, on backorder or done.
How it works
- Someone notices the 22g catheters are nearly out and adds a request.
- It lands on the board under Active, with their name and how long ago they asked.
- A clinic admin marks it with one of your clinic's statuses, such as "Ordered", and adds a note if they like.
- When it's dealt with, it moves to Archived.
The three tabs
Every request sits in one of three buckets:
- Active: requested, and nobody has picked it up yet
- Pending: acknowledged and waiting, such as ordered, on backorder, or going on the next order
- Archived: done with, such as already in stock, not ordering, or no longer needed
Each tab shows how many requests are in it. Your clinic names its own statuses inside each bucket, with their own colors and icons.
Handy details
- An Active request older than a week shows its age in amber, so nothing sits forgotten.
- When you type a new request, houndkit warns you if something similar is already on the list, or was archived in the last 30 days.
- Once a request is marked, the card shows who marked it, when, and any note, such as "On the Tuesday order".
Who does what
- Anyone on the team can add a request.
- Clinic admins mark requests, reopen archived ones, and set up the statuses in Clinic Settings.
