What Client Connect is for
Start here · step 29 of 31
Client Connect lets pet owners request appointments online and trade messages with your team. Owners use a link, with no app or account, and your team answers from one place in houndkit.
The two tabs
- Requests: appointment requests from your online booking page. Approve them, suggest another time, or decline.
- Inbox: message threads with clients. Owners get an email with a secure link to read and reply.
The numbers on each tab show new requests and unread messages.
How owners reach you
Your clinic has a booking page. Click Copy booking link at the top of Client Connect and share it on your website, social media or email signature.
On the booking page, owners fill in their name, email, pet's name, a preferred date and time of day, and the reason for the visit. They get an email with a link to check their request, and everyone on your team gets a notification.
What happens to a request
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| New | Waiting for your team |
| Proposed | You suggested another time and are waiting on the owner |
| Approved | You approved it |
| Confirmed | The owner confirmed the time |
| Declined | You couldn't fit it in |
The owner is emailed at each step and can check the status from their link.
Note
Client Connect doesn't add appointments to your PIMS. Once you approve a time, book it in your PIMS as usual.
