Set a clinic alert

Updated September 30, 2026

When the clinic is on diversion, full, or running a waitlist, clinic admins can pin an alert across the top of the On the Way board. Everyone sees it; only admins can set, change or clear it.

Create alert types first

  1. Open Clinic Settings from your account menu, then choose On the Way.
  2. Open the Board tab and find alert types.
  3. Click Add alert type.
  4. Enter an Alert name, like "Shut Down" or "Waitlist", and an optional Description for staff context.
  5. Pick an Icon, Background and Text color.
  6. Click Add.

Set an alert

  1. On the On the Way board, click Set clinic alert at the top right.
  2. Choose an alert type.
  3. Add notes if you like, such as how long the wait is.
  4. Click Set Alert.

A banner in the alert's colors appears at the top of the board for everyone, with your notes and who set it and when.

Change or clear it

  • Click Update on the banner to switch the alert type or change the notes, then click Update.
  • Click Clear to remove the banner.

Only one alert shows at a time. Setting a new one replaces the current one.
