Update and archive an entry
Keep an incoming patient's entry current as things change, then archive it once they've arrived or aren't coming. Click any row to open the entry.
Tap to update
These change the moment you tap them:
- Triage status: tap a level. Tap the selected one again to clear it.
- Status: tap the new status.
- CSR flags: tap to turn a flag on or off.
Click to edit
Click the value under Patient / Signalment, Client name, Planned date, ETA or Referring clinic to edit it, then save. Every change is noted in the entry's chat, with who made it.
Contact info copies to your clipboard when you click it. Presenting complaint and Notes are kept as first logged; add updates in the chat instead.
Chat
Type in the message box to leave an update. Type @ to tag a teammate; they get a notification. You can react to messages too.
Copy into your PIMS
Click the copy button at the top. houndkit copies a summary with the status, triage, contact info, date, ETA, referring clinic, CSR flags, complaint, notes, chat messages and any online form answers. Automatic change entries aren't included. Clinic admins can change the format. See Customize the On the Way copy format.
Request records
If your clinic uses Records and the referring clinic is linked to your directory, a Request records link appears beside it. It opens a records request already filled in from this entry. Review it before sending.
Archive or reopen
When you're done with an entry, click Archive at the bottom. Choosing a status set to auto-archive (like Arrived) archives it for you.
To bring one back, open it from the Archived view and click Reopen.
