Add chores to your list

Updated September 30, 2026

Clinic admins can add chores one at a time, several at once across rooms, or in a spreadsheet. Everything here lives in Clinic Settings > Chores > Chore list.

Add one chore

  1. Select + New chore.
  2. Under What needs doing?, enter a Chore name and, if useful, Instructions (optional).
  3. Under When?, pick How often and a First day (or a Due date for a One time chore).
  4. Set a time if you want one (see Chore times below).
  5. Under Who and where?, choose Who does it (a person, or Anyone on shift), who it's Expected from, a Room and a Category.
  6. Open Points & tags (optional) to set Raffle points and searchable tags.
  7. Check the preview line. It shows the next dates the chore will come due.
  8. Select Add chore.

The form stays open after saving and keeps your room, schedule and points, so you can type the next chore straight away. Select Done when you're finished.

Chore times

  • For most chores, Start time (optional) keeps the chore grayed out until that time. Leave it blank to show it all day.
  • For Twice daily chores, set Morning round starts and Evening round starts. Blank means 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
  • The Opening, Midday and Closing buttons fill in a common time and tag the chore to match.

Add a list across rooms

Add a list is the fastest way to set up the same chores in several rooms.

  1. Select Add a list.
  2. Type one chore per line in Chores — one per line.
  3. Tick every room these chores happen in, or type a new room. Leave rooms empty for one copy with no room.
  4. Set the shared Category, How often, Assigned to, Expected from, Points each, Not before (optional) and tags.
  5. Check the line that says how many chores will be created, then select the Add button (it shows the same count).

Each chore is created once per room. You can add up to 50 at a time.

Tip

Setting up the same set of chores in lots of rooms? A room template lets you reuse it later. See Use room templates.

Use the spreadsheet

Select Spreadsheet to edit every active chore in one grid, then save once. You can also Export CSV, edit it in Excel or Google Sheets, and Import CSV it back.

  • Keep the id column so your changes update the right chores.
  • Rows without an id are added as new chores.
  • Changing a schedule, date or time rebuilds that chore's open windows when you save.

The spreadsheet needs a wider screen. On a phone, use + New chore or Add a list instead.

Duplicate into another room

Select the copy icon on a row (or Duplicate in the editing drawer). The form opens with everything filled in except the room, so you just pick where the copy belongs.
