Set up groups

Clinic admins create and manage your clinic's groups in one place. Every tool that needs a team, like Tasks, Chores, Kudos and Labs, uses this list.

Add a group

1. Open Clinic Settings and choose Groups, then the Groups tab.
2. Tap Add group.
3. Enter a Name (for example, Techs, Front Desk or DVMs) and an optional Description.
4. Open Look to pick an icon, and choose a Color and Text color. The preview pill shows how it will look.
5. Choose what the group is for with the Use in tools and Team space switches (see below).
6. If the group has a team space, choose Who can customize the space.
7. Turn on DVM group if the members are doctors (see below).
8. Under Members, tap each person to add them. Use Find someone to search by name, initials or job title.
9. Tap Add group.

Use in tools, Team space, or both

• Use in tools: Tasks, Chores and Kudos can pick this group, and it can be a DVM group.
• Team space: the group gets a shared home base with its tasks, chores, chat and links.

A group needs at least one of these turned on.

Space-only groups

Turn Use in tools off to make a private, workspace-only group. No tool offers it, and only its members and clinic admins can see it exists. In the list it shows a Space only badge. Groups with no team space show Tools only.

If you turn Use in tools off for a group that already has tasks or chores, those keep their assignment. The group just won't be offered for new ones.

DVM groups

Members of a DVM group become the doctors in the Labs Ordered by list. They can also be shown as Dr. LastName across the app. See Show doctors as Dr. LastName.

Edit, reorder or delete

• Tap Edit on a group to change anything, including members, then tap Save group.
• Drag groups to change their order. Tools list groups in this order.
• Tap the trash button, then Delete to confirm (or Keep to back out).
