Help/QA Auditor

Give people QA access

Updated September 30, 2026

Choose who can open QA Auditor and how much they can do. Only clinic admins can change this.

The three access levels

LevelWhat they can do
No accessCan't open the tool. Still sees their own audits under My QA on their dashboard.
Case Note AuditorReads cases, writes notes and suggests errors. A full Auditor has to accept the suggestions.
AuditorFull access: marks errors, assigns to-dos, submits and finalizes, resolves appeals.

Clinic admins always have full QA access. They show as Auditor (admin), and you can't lower that from this screen.

Set someone's level

  1. Go to Clinic Settings, open QA, then People → Auditors.
  2. Find the person. On a bigger team, use Search team… to filter by name or job title.
  3. Click the level you want next to their name. It saves right away.

The counts at the top show how many auditors and case note auditors you have.

Picking the right level

  • Give Auditor to the people who own the audit: practice managers, lead techs, medical directors.
  • Give Case Note Auditor to people whose eye you want on the record without letting them change it. A DVM reviewing their own cases, or a lead tech flagging what they noticed, are good fits. Read more in Case Note Auditors: notes and suggestions.
  • Leave everyone else at No access. They still get their own results, feedback and to-dos.

Note

Only people with some QA access see QA Auditor in the tool menu. Everyone else reaches their results from the My QA tab on their dashboard.

What auditors can change in settings

Auditors run the audits. The setup itself (access, roles, audit types, sections and questions, and the General options) lives in Clinic Settings, which clinic admins manage.
