Customize the task copy and Rx formats
Clinic admins can decide exactly what staff get when they copy a task into your PIMS. There are two formats: the full copy and the shorter Rx note.
Open Clinic Settings from your account menu, then choose Tasks, then the Copy formats tab.
There's no Save button. Switches save right away and text saves when you click away. Each change shows a Saved message with an Undo button.
Copy button
This controls the copy button on every task.
- Edit the Header. Tap a chip to add
{patient_name}or{client_name}where your cursor is. - Switch on what to show: Show contact info, Show task type, Show logged by, Show target and Show status.
- Choose How names appear: Preferred or first name, Full name or Initials.
- Under Section headings, rename the headings Above the task note and Above the activity log if you like.
- Edit the Footer. You can use
{clinic_slug},{logged_by}and{date}(who logged the task and when), and{copied_by}and{copied_at}(who copied it and when).
The Preview shows a sample task in your format. Reset to default puts the original format back.
Rx button
This controls the pill button, a shorter note for the medical record.
- On the Copy formats tab, find Rx button.
- Edit the Rx note. You can use
[Logged User],[Date]and[Time](who logged the task and when),[task note]and[Activity Log].
It saves when you click away. Reset to default puts the original Rx note back.
About the activity log
In both formats, the activity log only includes chat messages and reassignments with a written reason. Status changes and other automatic entries are left out.
Note
If your clinic shows DVMs as Dr. LastName, doctors appear that way in the copied text too, except when names are set to Initials.
