Help/Taskboard

Work on a task

Updated September 30, 2026

Open a task to update its status, talk it through with your team and attach what you need. Everything you do is logged in the task's chat.

Click any row on the board to open the task on the right.

Change the status

Use the status dropdown under the task details. Pick one of:

  • Not reviewed: nobody has picked it up yet.
  • In progress: someone is on it.
  • Done: finished.

Posting a chat message or reassigning a task that's still Not reviewed moves it to In progress for you.

Finished tasks drop off the Open view. They stay easy to find under Done. See Find tasks.

Chat about the task

The Chat section shows messages and a quiet record of changes (status updates, reassignments, files added).

  1. Type in the message box at the bottom.
  2. To tag a teammate, type @ and pick them from the list. They get a notification.
  3. Press the send button, or ⌘ + Return.

You can react to messages, and attach files to a message with the paperclip button beside the box.

Attach photos and files

In the Attachments section, click Add photo / file. Each file can be up to 25MB. Adding or removing a file is noted in the chat.

Contact info

If the task has contact info, it shows under Contact info. A link opens in a new tab. Anything else copies to your clipboard when you click it.

Tip

The two small buttons at the top of the task copy it for your PIMS. See Copy a task into your records.
