Fill in and print a surgery sheet
You can fill in the surgery sheet for a patient, then print it or save it as a one-page PDF to upload to their record.
Fill in the sheet
- Open Hospital and tap the Surgery Calculator tab.
- In the Patient section, fill in Patient Name, Weight (lbs), Procedure, CPR or DNR, Client, Phone # and Date. Answer any extra questions your clinic has added, such as Breed or Age.
- As soon as the weight is in, the kilograms show next to it and every drug's Calculated box fills in.
The header at the top updates as you type, so the printed page leads with the patient, procedure, date and code status.
Open it from a hospitalized patient
On a patient's treatment sheet in Hospital, tap the scissors button (Surgery sheet) in the header. The calculator opens with that patient's name, client, phone, weight and code status already filled in, and the date set to today. Questions named Breed, Age, Sex, Species or Signalment fill in from the signalment typed at admit. The procedure and any other questions start blank.
Print or save a PDF
- Tap the printer button to print. The sheet shrinks to fit one letter-size page.
- Tap the download button to save a one-page PDF. It's named with the patient, client and date, so it's easy to find when you upload it to the record.
If the PDF can't be made, the page says so. Try printing instead.
Start a fresh sheet
Tap Clear, then OK when asked to clear all patient info. This empties the patient details and resets the date to today.
Note
A half-filled sheet is kept in the browser you typed it in, so it survives a reload. It isn't shared with your team or other devices. Tap Clear before starting the next patient.
