What Hospital is for

Hospital is your digital treatment sheet for hospitalized patients. You can see who's in, what each patient is owed next, chart what was done and when, and send them home with a clean record to paste into your PIMS.

The board

Open Hospital from the menu and you land on Hospitalized, a card for every patient in the building. Each card shows:

• The patient's name, code status (CPR or DNR), kennel and any tags, such as a bite warning
• Next due: the next few treatments and their times, with overdue ones in red
• The last set of vitals, the catheter that's in and how long it's been in, and when the owner was last updated
• The latest round note, plus a Quick round note… box you can type into without opening the sheet

Cards are sorted so the patient with the soonest treatment is first. The board refreshes itself every minute, so you see your teammates' entries without reloading.

Across the top, a strip counts patients hospitalized, treatments overdue and due this hour, handoffs waiting, and catheters that have been in more than 72 hours.

The views

• Hospitalized: everyone currently admitted
• Due now: everything owed across the whole ward in the next two hours, overdue first, so you can work straight down the list
• Discharged: patients who have gone home

The treatment sheet

Tap a card to open that patient's sheet. It has:

• The chart, with hours across the top and every order down the side. Click a square to chart it at that time.
• The Orders list, grouped into treatments, fluids, vitals, diagnostics, and care and client
• A right-hand column for the things you reach for all shift: Quick vitals, Quick log, the catheter, prescriptions, the notes thread, the shift handoff, belongings and attachments
• All activity, a running log of every entry and who made it

Who does what

Anyone on the team can admit patients, chart, take vitals, write notes and discharge. Doctors add orders, and a support-staff member can write orders for a doctor. If your clinic requires it, those medication orders then wait for the doctor to confirm them. Only clinic admins can delete a discharged patient or change Hospital settings.
