Adopt a houndkit training program
houndkit publishes ready-made training programs, written for a role: the skills, the onboarding checklist, the manager's prep list, the tests and the check-in forms. Clinic admins can take one as it is, take it and make it yours, or skip this and build your own.
Adopt a program
- Go to Clinic Settings → Training & SOPs → Programs and choose From houndkit.
- Read the program card. It shows who it's written for, how many modules it has, and counts of skills, tests, SOPs, onboarding steps, prep tasks and check-in forms.
- In Put it on, pick the role it's for. You can also leave it on No role yet; you're asked to confirm, and nothing lands on anyone's plan until you pick a role.
- Click Adopt or Adopt and edit (see below).
- Adopt: houndkit keeps it up to date. Anything you edit stops following, one item at a time.
- Adopt and edit: take it once. Nothing houndkit publishes afterwards touches it.
A message confirms how many items were added or refreshed, and how many of yours were left alone. The card then shows You have this, with a chip for each role saying following houndkit or yours.
If the plan includes Fetch units or Tell Tail sessions, adopting also copies in the matching starter content your clinic doesn't have yet, so those steps have something to play.
Get updates
If you adopted a program linked, click Get the latest to pull in anything houndkit has published since. Items you've edited are left alone.
Stop following houndkit
Click Stop following houndkit on a linked program and confirm. Nothing changes today; it just stops receiving updates, so everything becomes fully yours.
Note
Adopted content lands in your own Training: skills in the Skills tab, the plan under Programs → Plans by role, tests under Tests, and so on. Edit it there like anything you wrote yourself.
If nothing shows on this tab yet, your own training carries on exactly as it is. See Set up a role's training plan to build your own.
