What Training & SOPs is for
Start here · step 21 of 31
Training & SOPs keeps everything your team needs to learn in one place: role-based training plans, skill sign-offs, onboarding checklists, tests, your SOPs and a knowledge library. This article shows you the tabs so you know where to go.
The tabs
You only see the tabs that apply to you.
- Onboarding: shows up while your own onboarding checklist is open, and goes away once every step is done.
- My training: your plan, the skills you've been signed off on, and anything you've been asked to refresh.
- Trainees: for managers, mentors and people who sign off skills. Everyone in training, plus Tests, Onboarding and (for managers) Self-assessments.
- Skills: every skill your clinic trains, as a table you can filter by role, level, category and tags.
- SOPs: your clinic's standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge: articles plus reference lists: Glossary, Conditions, Fast facts, Tell Tail, Charts, Root words and Pharmacy.
- Fetch and Tell Tail: short daily lessons and triage practice. These are their own tools, so they only show if your clinic has them.

How a plan works
Training plans are built per role, and roles are your clinic's Groups. Each role's plan is a list of modules. A module is a named bundle of work: skills to be signed off, SOPs to read, tests, Fetch units and Tell Tail sessions. A trainee moves on when the work in a module is done, however long that takes. Nobody is shown as behind unless an admin gave that module a target week.
Who can do what
- Everyone can read published SOPs and Knowledge, work through their own plan and tick off checklist skills.
- Mentors file check-in feedback for their trainees and, if your clinic allows it, sign off their skills.
- Training management (clinic admins plus anyone your admins add) adds trainees, schedules check-ins, and reads every check-in report.
- Clinic admins write SOPs and Knowledge, and set everything up in Clinic Settings → Training & SOPs.
Nobody can ever sign off their own skills.
