Choose what My Dashboard offers your team
Clinic admins decide which personal tabs and header shortcuts everyone at the clinic gets. Nobody's content is shared by this. You're only choosing which features are offered.
Go to Clinic Settings → My Dashboard.
The switches
| Switch | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Home | Tasks, mentions, kudos and personal links. Always on. |
| To-Do | The To-Do tab (personal lists with due dates) and New to-do in the header's pen menu |
| Patients | The Patients tab (quick vitals and history before the record is written) and New patient in the pen menu |
| Notes | The Notes tab (personal sticky notes) and New note in the pen menu |
| Calculator | Plain arithmetic in the pen menu. It has no dashboard tab. |
| Dose helper | The calculator's Dose tab: lb to kg, mg/kg to mL, and a search of your pharmacy for strengths, doses and a sample label. It needs the calculator on. |
| Fetch shortcut | The sparkle in the header that opens a quick Fetch lesson. It only shows while Training is on. |
Every switch starts on for a new clinic. Each one saves as you flip it, with Undo in the Saved message. Changes apply to everyone at the clinic, including admins.
Turning something off is safe
Switching a tab off hides it for everyone, but it never deletes anyone's to-dos, notes or patient entries. Turn it back on and everything is exactly where people left it.
Why you might switch things off
- Your clinic has a rule against keeping patient details outside the medical record: turn Patients off.
- Your team already uses another list tool and the extra tab is noise: turn To-Do off.
- You don't keep your pharmacy list in houndkit, so the dose search wouldn't help: turn Dose helper off.
Individual people can also hide Home cards they don't use, from Customize on their own dashboard. See Customize My Dashboard.
