Suggest a Tug of War poll

Anyone on the team can suggest a Tug of War game. A clinic admin takes a quick look before it goes live.

Suggest a game

1. On the Clinic Dashboard, tap + new on the tug of war card. Or open Games, tap Tug of War, and tap + new game at the top.
2. Pick a game: This or that, For a million $, Pick one, Hot take, Guess the number or Two truths & a lie. Not sure? Tap Surprise me.
3. houndkit shows a ready-made idea with a preview. Use the arrows to flip through more ideas, Tweak the wording to change one, or or write your own from scratch.
4. Tap Submit. (Clinic admins see Add game instead, and their game goes live straight away, or joins the queue if another game is live.)

What each kind asks for:

• This or that: the question, then the two choices under Side A and Side B.
• For a million $: just the dare, for example "drink a full bottle of pyrantel." houndkit puts "What's the lowest dollar amount someone would have to pay you to…" in front of it.
• Pick one: the question and three to six options.
• Hot take: the statement, plus optional labels for 1 and 10.
• Guess the number: the question, the right answer (kept hidden) and a unit, such as "teeth."
• Two truths & a lie: three statements. Tap Lie next to the false one. Nobody sees which until the game ends.

Once you submit, you'll see a confirmation and your game is listed under Your submissions on the Tug of War page, marked Pending, until an admin looks at it.

What happens next

A clinic admin gets a notification about your game. They can tidy the wording, choose how long it runs, and approve it or turn it down. You get a notification either way:

• Approved: it goes live right away if nothing else is running, or joins the Up next queue if another game is live.
• Not approved: the notification includes the admin's reason, if they gave one.

Tips for a good game

• Keep it quick to read. People answer from the dashboard between patients.
• Make both sides tempting. The best polls split the team down the middle.
• For million-dollar games, pick a dare with a real price tag. "Clean the kennels for a year" works better than something nobody would ever do.
