What My Dashboard is for

Updated September 25, 2026

Start here · step 5 of 31

My Dashboard is your own private corner of houndkit. It pulls together what's waiting on you and gives you a place for personal to-dos, notes and patient jottings. Nobody else, including clinic admins, can see it.

Open it from the person icon in the header, from the user menu, or from My Dashboard in the Go to menu. houndkit also opens here when you sign in.

The top of the page

  • Your greeting and name, styled however you like.
  • Your clinic's name as a pink button. Tap it to go to the shared Clinic Dashboard.
  • Customize and Decorate, for making the page yours. See Customize My Dashboard.
  • Your photos, if you've added any.

If you haven't set a PIN yet, a reminder card appears here with a Set my PIN button.

The Home tab

Home gathers the things that are about you:

  • Your Groups: a card for each team you're in, linking to its team space.
  • My Tasks: tasks assigned to you and to your groups. Tap the X on one to hide it from your dashboard. The task itself stays open.
  • Mentions: when someone tags you. Dismiss them once you've read them.
  • Chores due today: today's chores by room, if your clinic uses Chores.
  • My Links: your own bookmarks, which follow you to any computer you sign in on. Tap Add, enter a name and address, and save.
  • Fetch: your lesson streak, if your clinic uses Fetch.
  • Your Kudos: shoutouts you've been tagged in. Pin the ones you want to keep on top.

You can hide any Home card you don't want under Customize → Home cards.

The other tabs

  • To-Do: personal lists with due dates. See Personal to-dos and notes.
  • Patients: a scratchpad for vitals and history before you write the medical record. See Quick patient notes.
  • Notes: sticky notes, saved as you type.
  • My QA: your own case review results and QA to-dos. It only appears if your clinic runs QA audits, shares results with the team, and you have something in it.

A number on a tab shows how many open items it holds. Your clinic admin decides whether To-Do, Patients and Notes are offered. Home is always there.

Admins: a setup checklist

Clinic admins see a Get your clinic set up card at the top of Home with a few first steps, like adding your clinic logo and inviting your team. It disappears once you've done them all.
