Help a teammate sign in

Updated September 25, 2026

When someone can't get in, clinic admins can get them going again without waiting on a reset email. Open Clinic Settings → Team members, tap the person, and scroll to Sign-in help.

Give them a temporary password

Best when they're standing in front of you, or the reset email isn't arriving.

  1. Tap Temporary password and confirm. Their current password stops working.
  2. A green box shows the new password and the email to Sign in as. Tap Copy, or read it out.
  3. They sign in with it. A yellow banner then asks them to choose their own password, and it stays until they do.

The password is only shown once. If you lose it, make another.

Send a reset link

  1. Tap Reset link.
  2. Tap Copy and send it to them however you like, such as a text or a message.
  3. They open it and choose a new password.

The link works once and expires in 24 hours.

Other fixes

  • Clear PIN: for someone who forgot their PIN. They'll set a new one next time houndkit locks.
  • Remove photo: takes down their profile photo.

Who you can't help this way

  • Yourself. Change your own password in User Settings → Sign-in & security.
  • People who also belong to another clinic. Their sign-in is theirs to manage. Ask them to use Forgot password? on the sign-in page.
  • Deactivated people. Reactivate them first.

Tip

The Never signed in and Temporary password filters on the team list, and the Needs you list on the Overview page, show who might need a nudge.
