Set your PIN and password

Your PIN gets you back into houndkit after it locks. Your password is for full sign-ins. Both live in User Settings on the Sign-in & security tab. On a phone the tab is labeled Security.

Set up a PIN

A PIN is four digits. It unlocks houndkit and lets you switch to yourself on a shared computer without a full login.

1. Open your avatar menu, choose User Settings, then Sign-in & security.
2. Under Set up a PIN, enter four digits under PIN, then again under Confirm PIN.
3. Tap Save PIN.

The badge changes from No PIN yet to PIN set. To change it later, the section becomes Change your PIN. Enter the digits under New PIN and Confirm PIN, then tap Update PIN.

The section also tells you how long your clinic lets houndkit sit idle before it locks, or that your clinic has idle locking turned off. Only a clinic admin can change that.

Change your password

1. Under Password, enter a New password and repeat it under Confirm new password.
2. Tap Update password.

If you signed in with a temporary password from your clinic admin, do this right away. The yellow banner at the top of houndkit brings you straight here.

Forgot your current password? You don't need it here, but if you're signed out, use Forgot password? on the sign-in page.

Sign out other devices

Left houndkit signed in on a computer you can't get back to? Under Where you're signed in, tap Sign out other devices and confirm. Every other browser is signed out, including shared clinic computers, which will need to log in again. You stay signed in where you are, and paired phones keep their alerts.
