Approve Tug of War polls

Clinic admins decide which Tug of War games go live, for how long, and in what order.

Where pending games show up

• Your bell: you get a notification when someone submits a game.
• Clinic Settings → Poll approvals: a count badge shows on the menu item when games are waiting. The Clinic Settings Overview also lists them.
• The Tug of War page: open Games and tap Tug of War, or tap view all on the dashboard card. Pending games sit under Pending approval.

Games you add yourself skip approval. They go live straight away, or join the queue if another game is live.

Approve or turn down a game

1. Open the pending game. You can edit the question (and the two sides of a this-or-that) before it goes live.
2. Under Run for, choose 24 hours, 3 days or 1 week. On the Tug of War page you can also pick Custom and enter a number of hours.
3. Approve it. In Clinic Settings the button is Approve. On the Tug of War page it reads Approve & Launch when nothing else is running, or Approve & Queue when another game is live.
4. Or turn it down. In Clinic Settings, add a Reason if you turn it down if you like, then tap Turn down and confirm (it can't be undone). On the Tug of War page, tap Reject, add a Reason (optional), then tap Confirm reject.

The person who suggested it gets a notification either way. If you give a reason, it's included.

If a game is already live when you approve, the new one joins the back of the queue, whichever button you used. It won't cut in.

Manage the queue

On the Tug of War page, Up next lists approved games in the order they'll go live.

• Drag games to change the order.
• Tap the remove button on a game to take it out of the queue.

Each game goes live automatically when the one before it closes.

Short on ideas? On the Tug of War page, Game bank adds + 1, + 3 or + 5 random games to the queue. Poll approvals in Clinic Settings has an Open Tug of War link to get there.

Close a game early

Under the live game, tap Close early. If something's waiting in the queue, the button reads Close early & start next, and the next game starts straight away.

Cleaning up old polls

Finished games stay under Previous games forever unless you set up a clean-up rule. See Clean up old data.
